An Inside Look into the Lives of Huntzinger Consultants

Role
I am an Applications Manager for Huntzinger, specializing in revenue cycle and reporting. My work focuses on various registration, charge services, billing and reporting processes and issues.

Time at Huntzinger
I started working for Huntzinger in November 2018.

Time in Healthcare IT
I have worked in Healthcare IT for about 30 years. My career began at Meditech in 1990, and then I moved into Hospital IT in 1994.

What was Your Most Recent Assignment?
Huntzinger entered into a Managed Services agreement for IT services with Asquam Community Health Collaborative in August 2017. Having been employed by the Lakes Region General Hospital as a member of the Collaborative team since 1994, I became a part of Huntzinger in 2018. I continue to manage and support the various revenue cycle and reporting applications for Asquam and other clients.

What is Your Domain Strength?
My strength is to understand issues and processes and how the client’s various applications and systems work together. It’s important to understand how the clinical workflows and supply chain relate to revenue cycle.

What are Your Hobbies?
I love to ski, ride my road and mountain bikes, and spend time with my family.

What Do You Enjoy Most About Being a Huntzinger Consultant?
I love IT because I like to identify and solve problems – figure out what is going on, what is broken and how it can be done better. Working for Huntzinger has allowed me to continue doing just that and for more than just one hospital. I very much appreciate these additional opportunities.
