HMG & Hanover Hospital to Present Community EMR Case Study

The Huntzinger Management Group (HMG) and its client Hanover Hospital will present a Community EMR Case Study at the HFMA sponsored Healthcare Trade Fair on Wednesday November 4, 2009 at the Sheraton Four Points,  in Cranberry, PA.

Hanover Hospital is a 116 bed community-based hospital in Hanover, PA.  This is a case study to show how a clinical community made up of hospital-employed and affiliated physicians can come together with hospital executives and the MIS Department to develop a plan for the rapid deployment of a community wide Ambulatory EMR. The Ambulatory EMR will allow all participants  to receive benefits  of the ARRA Stimulus Funds and meet the Meaningful Use guidelines.

During the session, George and Nancy will walk-thru the process starting from the Strategic Planning Phase to the Implementation Deployment. They will also highlight ways to adopt rapid change within a clinical community and ways to incent participation from all stake holders.
